The Day in Beauty, Vol. 2: Smiles, Guerlain Spring Glow Blush, a Banila Co Moisturizing Lace Mask, and Pea Soup - Makeup and Beauty Blog

guerlain-smile

And here'southward Karen with your public service announcement of the day: "Smile, and your Guerlain Leap Glow Blush smiles with y'all." 🙂

This tantalizing two-tone head-turner is part of Guerlain's Spring Glow 2022 collection, and how could y'all not smile while looking at it?

And then FREAKIN' CUTE.

At that place's a reddish pink on one side and a lighter infant pinkish on the other. Plus, a funky 8-bit font, which is kinda unexpectedly cool, I call back.

And, hello! — considering it'southward Guerlain, it's expensive (well, duh, Karen!). I believe it'due south $62.

Yeah…62 big ones for a Guerlain blush, but I do have to say that when it comes to the overall user experience, for fancy-schmancy makeup, Guerlain'due south got that sh*t on lock. Everything from the packaging (amaze!) to the formulas are almost e'er summit notch, and I love the luxe touches like the smile banner on the pan and, although this depends on your personal point of view, the scented powders.

"Ah…" she sighed, as she practically stuck her nose in the pan.

Their stuff smells then darned good to me! This i, similar a lot of Guerlain powders, smells like freesia, and if y'all can, please try to be that weirdo who rolls up to a Guerlain counter, sticks her nose into all of the compacts and takes a deep breath.

And I'one thousand not merely saying that considering I haven't had my nap yet. 🙂 I really exercise call up you owe it to yourself to odour Guerlain's makeup. I actually mean that!

Speaking of naps and tired people, gosh, I sure am getting tired (there I get once more!) of maxim that: "I'm tired!" Seriously, how many times am I going to say "tired" in this judgement?

Even so, I woke upwardly at the witching hour concluding dark — correct at three a.m. — which ever freaks me out. If, instead, I get upward at four or 2, I'thou fine, because I judge I know I'll be able to fall back to slumber eventually without worrying near being an unwilling star in a scary movie. ("Slowly, every bit if gently pushed from behind, the door opened a cleft…")

But aye, there's something about waking up at exactly 3 a.thousand. that scares the living crap outta me…

Anyways, I had a really hard time going back to sleep. I did eventually, but information technology took a while… I just lay at that place listening to Reddish Queen on my phone until I nodded off.

red-queen

So if I say anything a niggling cuckoo-crazy in this post, that'south why (the witching hour).

Oh! — one of the things I want to do this afternoon is try this $5 It Radiant Lace Hydrogel Mask.

banila-co-moisturizing-mask

I think I'm on the cusp of a burgeoning Korean skin care kick, partly considering of that book I mentioned yesterday, and this sail mask is by a Korean brand called Banila Co.

Allegedly, the lace design is supposed to be cuter than a Jason Voorhees mask… Let's try it on and see!

Allegedly this is supposed to look cute
I recall this is supposed to look cute?

Yeah, I dunno…

I'k liking how it feels though. Kinda like a wet, common cold gummy worm…only better, LOL!

I'm using the Moisturizing one because my skin'southward been very dry out lately, and this one'southward enhanced with "White Flower Circuitous" and "revitalizing active ingredients," which sounds pretty skillful to me.

I can't read the ingredients on the back of the package (because my Korean is a fiddling rusty), but I found them listed on the website…

Ingredients
Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Chondrus Crispus Powder, Lactobacillus Ferment, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Excerpt, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Excerpt, Artemisia Princeps Foliage Excerpt,Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexandiol, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, PEG-sixty Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Butylene Gylcol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lilum Candidum Flower Extract, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Hydroxide, Fragrance

In other, totally unrelated news, I had pea soup from Trader Joe'southward for lunch today, and it was really practiced! I didn't want to take a picture of information technology initially considering, yous know, information technology's pea soup, and pea soup commonly looks actually gross in pics, simply I figured what the hey…

trader-joes-organic-pea-soup

It was in the section by the produce with all of the pre-made salads and wraps. I like this item pea soup considering it only has xiii grams of carbs per serving (yay!), and it tastes fresh. I've had canned pea soups before that taste a picayune metal, but this tastes homemade.

Random question for you: what'south your favorite kind of soup? Do you lot have a favorite soup? I know that some people don't like soups at all (El Hub is one of them), but if you do, what'due south your favorite? Mine is tomato, and I like to have it with grilled cheese.

OK! Talk to you soon. Bye. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen
